Hey guys,
First the video. I know you are waiting for it but I might need a few more hours for this due to real-life issues I have to deal with. I apologize for this, it WILL exist and the APP will be PUBLISHED this week so do NOT worry.
Now, to use 3rd party apps you must grant Facebook permissions. Each permission allows you to perform a certain action. This is how Facebook works. If I could do it differently I would. The good news is that you only have to do this once!
All permissions can be enabled through the phone in the app, but to make it easier and get you started quickly I recommend you to do it from desktop or laptop.
Follow these steps:
- Bloo will ask you for a 6-digit key upon startup.
- Get your 6-digit-code here – Write this down and enter it when you get Bloo. If for any reason you are unable to login with your code, do not hesitate to generate a new code. Sometimes if it takes time they might expire. If you uninstall Bloo later on you will have to generate another one.
- Enable read-stream permission – Enable this to view the feed and all your friends feeds. Once you do this you never have to do it again even if you uninstall Bloo from your phone.
- Enable publish-stream permission – Enable this to be able to POST new posts, comments, UPLOAD and TAG pictures. Once you do this you never have to do this again even if you uninstall Bloo from your phone.
That’s it! Remember you can do this from the app, this is only to make your life easier.

how much will be the price??
I currently use Babble, Fbabble and FriendMobilizer. I’m so ready to trashcan all three of those and free up some space on my home screen! I’m hoping Bloo will suitable replace all three of those apps.
If it’s paid app…..means I have to root my phone to get it.. cos now paid app doesn’t show on my county market. ..
If its a paid app it will be great if you provide another way to buy the app other than the market (say through paypal on your blog or something) for us that live in countries where paid apps are not supported (Cyprus). Thanks again for all the hard work you’ve put into this.

I’ve got the ADP in Belgium (which is rooted by default, plus I got the JF FW installed), same issue.
Though they should have paid apps allready because they are launching the HTC Magik over here…

I don’t know about you guys but I’m friggin excited. I just watched the videos on youtube and I can tell you this app rocks! It’s beyond great 🙂 Android just found its killer app.
And since I believe Dimitris you are Greek: “Ευχαριστούμε φίλε. Έκανες τέλεια δουλειά!”.
Since this is a paid app I would like again to ask if its possible to have another way to purchase the app other than the market since a lot of countries (including Cyprus – where I live) do not support paid apps. Thnx.

The vids were great, showed off all I wanted to see. You said notifications were only for your last status update? What about comments on things you’ve commented on? or comments on your photos? It would be great to get all the standard facebook notifications.

Saw the video. Its so good! I can’t wait until it comes out and I would gladly pay for it. I’m definately going to tell my friends about it too. We’ve all been waiting for a facebook app that wasn’t a piece of crap.
This question is a bit self serving, but any chance we’ll see the release tomorrow? I’m willing to wait an eternity, but I leave for a long weekend tomorrow to a cabin with no wireless service 😦

Hmmm. This seems to be using info from x.facebook. [Or they both obtain info same way, same difference] Too bad, as the feed is painfully incomplete and doesn’t go very deep. So you may only see a few hours back. No idea why.
NOT the developers fault, as facebook makes everyone use same feed it seems. I was in the hope he had dug his way into the live feed. But sounds like with facebook’s restrictions its just not doable on any app on any phone… My guess is they really need you on main site SOMETIMES to make money. Makes sense. If you never needed to go to main site it would kill the ad revenue.
Well, it looks great! Will be buying for sure! It has a ton of features, I hate asking about the few ones it doesn’t…
Can someone correct me – Only notifications now are: Birthdays, events and your status comments? So not messages, friend requests, photo comments and photo tags? Bummer.
And most important, will these notifications pop all the time or just when you load app? It’s not noted and in video he got notifications when he opened app.
I guess I could just wait a day or two and find out myself now couldn’t I 🙂

What’s all this about being a Paid App? I always thought this was going to be free. But I always wanted to contribute with donations through PayPal or something. I don’t think Aus has paid apps either.
No one has ever said it would be free!
Meh, that’s all good. I just dunno how I’m going to get it onto my phone now as Australia (Optus) does not allow paid apps.
Although I have ROOTed my phone and put Cupcake 1.5 on it so maybe I could just see if it somehow works. I doubt it though.

People need to get paid for their work. And with the pathetic facebook apps we have now [And Google or facebook have no plans to help] it’s nice someone stepped up and made it happen!
I remember the old windows mobile days when apps were $10-$30! … $1.50 in pretty much free!

Every time I try to generate a code (on my phone or laptop), Facebook keeps telling me that the application “does not exist or is disabled.” I previously had bloo but deleted it a long while back, and now I realized how much I hate the standard facebook app. Any help??
